Can I clean my trumpet mouthpiece with dawn?

hey I've been playing on my xeno and I'm noticing its getting harder to play notes than when I started my new mouthpiece change. that was the first time i changed because my instructor said to do so. I play now on a yamaha 16c4 gp, switched from a 3C about 6 months ago. I'm not overplaying everyday and I have well timed practice routine, but I don't know why it feels much harder to play on? I'm not the best lead player but I still need to hit high notes and I feel I can't do so like I used to.I also want to know some tips in choosing a mouthpiece in case I can't take much more of it? I soaked my silver trumpet mouthpiece in hydrogen peroxide! It is black now! What do I do?!?!?
So I tried to clean my silver trumpet mouthpiece using hydrogen peroxide. I figured that would be okay because I use hydrogen peroxide to disinfect and clean other things, but for some reason my mouthpiece turned black now There is no shine anymore..just straight black What do I do to get it back to being silver ? ?

I'm a sophomore in high school. I've been playing trumpet since 7th grade. I started on the standard Bach 7C mouthpiece and played until Freshman year. Then I bought a new trumpet and it came with a 1.5C mouthpiece. From then until now I've noticed that I performed best with it. But my band director said he didn't approve of the 1.5C and said I should get a 3C, so I got a 3C for my birthday and I hated it. My tone is flat and I can't play as high on it. I can barely get out the high C above the staff on a good day with the 3C. But on the 1.5C, I can hit a high C consistently without strain and on a good day the high E, 2 notes above it. I'm looking for a great concert mouthpiece with a warm tone and also improves my range. Any ideas?

I am looking to get a new mouthpiece, preferably partially or fully gold plated, that will give me more range flexibility and a rich, brilliant tone. so ive been playing a little over 2 and a half years.ive recently moved up in my chair and now im playing lead.im kind of struggling with high notes and i was thinking maybe its my mouthpiece.i currently own a 7c and 3c.i normally use the 7c mouth piece, on it i can play up to a high D above the staff.but for some reason i struggle with things like playing my Bb concert scale in 2 octaves i can do it i just struggle with it.i mainly having problems with 16th note runs that are above the staff which can range from go up cromatically up to a high C. so i was wondering what mouthpiece should i be using,or is recommended for lead parts?thank you.

I'm about to buy the Giardinelli GTR 512 Professional Trumpet, and I want to buy a blue plastic mouthpiece for the sake of Marching Band and school pride . I started on a 7C in 6th grade, and upgraded to a 5C in 10th grade.
