Any good pocket trumpets?
I'm looking into buying a pocket trumpet because it would be much easier to bring along with me without taking up to much space. Does anyone know a decent brand that's still some what cheap? USA made only, I don't want to have to hunt down foreign parts
Pocket Trumpet vs. Regular Trumpet?
pocket trumpets seem way better than regular trumpets in every way... they look way more 'jazz,' they're easier to carry around, they're a lot cheaper and sound quality is supposed to be just as good as on regular trumpets.have i been misinformed, or would it be smart to sell my old second hand trumpet and buy a new pocket trumpet?
Jupiter Pocket Trumpet?
Is anyone familiar with these instruments. I'm a high school trumpet player, i usually use a yamaha xeno can't remember the exact model, but that's not the point here. I'm trying to find something that isn't too expensive and otherwise well suited to like travel, something that i could throw into a backpack or suitcase probably not literally, that's kind of extreme but you get the idea. Please no " oh, i got one of these for my elementary school student, and it's so cute, we just love it" because thats all i seem to be finding on my own. i'm looking for someone who knows kinda what they're talking about. Even if this is just going to be kind of a practice instrument for travel, i don't want to totally sacrifice quality and playability, and i definitely don't want it if it's worse than, say an average student trumpet.i realize that my question turned into kind of a rant there, so i boils down to this, jupiter pocket trumpets passable or suckish?

Anyone know some good pocket trumpets ranging from 500 to 800. Also if you know a place where i can try one in illinois.
