"upright bell" trumpet/cornet?
I was wondering if there were such things as upright bell trumpets or cornets? If there are, who makes them? and are they custom? Thanks Ps I've seen the dizzy gillespie 45 angled trumpet and that's not what im looking for. Iwas wondering if there was a euphonium tuna like shaped trumpet cornet
Whats better to play Trumpet vs. Cornet?
Okay, i started learning how to play the cornet when i was 8 or 9. I then moved onto playing the trumpet when i was 9 or 10. The reason i moved onto the trumpet was because my school no longer offered cornet lessons. My teacher said a trumpet was very similar so i could try that. I liked the trumpet it was quite light and easy to play. I learned how to play on Yamah instruments. I enjoyed paying both but i have had longer playing the trumpet as I'm now 14. I wanted to no first of all what is better and why and also can i play a trumpet in a orchestra. I play the trumpet in my schools orchestra but i heard that cornets where more excepted in UK orchestras. Is that true and why. Also do you know where i could my a good but cheap Yamah trumpet including a case and mouthpiece the trumpet i have is a loan from school and I'm interested in continuing after i leave secondary school. Should i get a cornet or trumpet. Also another question would i be able to continue in collage? Would i have to pay for those lessons? Sorry i know i asked like loads of questions but i hope i get some good answers thank you.
